The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. When home-steading drew adventurous New England families to the West during the mid and late 1800's many of the pioneers wore Frye Boots for the long journey. Today Frye remains true to its roots with its line of heritage boots, but continues to innovate as it introduces chic new handbags, pumps, and sandals to its collection.

THESE BOOTS SELL IN MY AREA FOR TWICE WHAT I JUST PAID. I HAD A HARD TIME BELIEVING THE PRICE AND WAS VERY LEARY ABOUT WHAT I WAS GETTING. THEY ARE THE TOP OF THE FRYE LINE....THE WORKMANSHIP IS SO BEAUTIFUL AND THE QUALITY IS AMAZING. I COULD NEVER WEAR THESE OUT.....I'D HAVE TO PUT THEM IN MY WILL! I WHOLE-HEARTEDLY RECOMMEND THEM!!!!

These are very nice boots. I love the styling - retro and motorcycle. They are surprisingly comfortable and yet nicely stylish, going with skirts or pants. I have received numerous compliments from both men and women. I'm glad I got them.

I have several pairs of Frye Harness boots in many colors. I saw the plum color and had to have it in my collection. It is a lovely dark brown plum - Not purple at all. I have received many compliments on these boots and they are as always with Frye Harness boots - comfortable, sturdy, and stylish without being fussy. I have wide feet and wear a 9 in regular shoes and always order 8 1/2 in Frye Harness boots otherwise they are too loose. This is pretty common in Frye boots. Enjoy ladies!
