These boots were exactly as expected. They are adorable and exactly the look I was going for! I read a lot of reviews about the length and fit so I felt it was only fair to share my experience. I wear a size 8 99% of the time but ordered an 8-1/2 in these due to the reviews I read and the fact that it does not have a zipper. I'm glad I did because I think an 8 would have been difficult to get on and off. Since they are boots the tiny bit of extra toe room isn't noticeable and they do not feel too big. After reading reviews I was mostly worried they would be too tall and hit the back of my knee. I'm 5'5" w/ avg length legs for my height and I do think they are just a *touch* too tall but not enough to return/dislike. It was mostly noticeable when I sat and the edge does curl a bit, but it doesn't make the boot look bad especially since it's a more distressed causual boot anyway.

Overal, they are very cute, and I'd definitely recommend these to a friend. I'm 5'7 and the shaft of the boot hit rit below my knee. It's the perfect height, so I'm immensely happy! . However, they area EXTREMELY difficult to get on/off, and the shaft is less roomy than other Steve Madden boots.. Something to consider if you have a more athletic leg. Additionally, the line down the front of the boot, is more pronounced than it is in the picture.

I just received these gorgeous boots today and I'm extremely pleased with the quality. I'm an 8.5 and ordered my normal size however they are definitely tight in the toe so I am exchanging them. The only problem I see, there is no size 9 on the size list so I ordered the 9.5. I'm hoping they'll fit seems how the boot did run pretty small. As for the shaft, I have 16" calves and these boots fit my calves (snug) but they fit and I know the leather will stretch a little after being worn. I was very afraid of the shaft being too tight after reading the reviews, however I don't seem to have a problem with it. So... smaller shoe fit, shaft is a little bigger than described- I hope this helps!
