The Frye Company is the oldest continuously operated shoe company in the United States. Founded in 1863 by John A. Frye, a well-to-do shoemaker from England, and family-run until 1945, Frye products have a long and illustrious history. Frye boots were worn by soldiers on both sides of America's Civil War, soldiers in the Spanish-American war, and by Teddy Roosevelt and his Rough Riders. I earned a lot of good Husband points by getting these for her. She is very happy with the quality and most importantly how they look. :)

The boots are very comfy and fit well, true to the size. They could be a tad narrow for a wider feet. I like two loops that helps to put the boots on.
I took 1 star because color Taupe looks very nice on the computer, but in person it looks like ugly brown, definitely darker. I wish they could come in nice colors, like sand/tan, cognac etc. Also for a black pair I'd prefer sole the sole to be black too.
Anyway I will keep the boots because the look is more casual than most riding boots have and they very comfortable.

The seller was very accommodating and the boots were more beautiful than I had hoped. I purchased them for my daughter's birthday and she loved them!
