By I love quality shoes.....
I ordered this boots somewhere else in black for $30 less, but I find it too steep on the insteps. I am flat footed with little or no arch. It would be nice if the front was platformed. With that being said, they are made long but narrow. I am a size 9 with narrow feet but sometimes I take 8.5. I ordered this in 9.5 and it was a killer on both big and small toes. I mean it rubs against the side of the baby toes, and that bone below the big toes. I am not sure if a 10 would have been wider, but to be safe I will go 1 size up. I am not a fan of steep back and low front as it is not good for the arch's ball and sucket anyways. I returned them anyways, but would have kept them if the heel was 1" lower and had more toe room. Oh! by the way it just touches the knees, not like over, and it is wide from top to bottom so lots of room for jeans but not for skinny legs with stockings, as they are wide beyond the calf to ankle. Hope this helps.
