Nice and tall (I'm 5'8" and this comes to just below my knee), fits perfectly in the foot and extremely comfortable with good arch support (I'm a size 8.5 to 9 and the 9 fit perfectly with a medium weight sock), gorgeous smooth leather (I bought the cocoa brown), flexible rubber sole with super grip, beautifully fitted at the ankle (no baggy galosh-type look) and fits perfectly all the way up the calf to the top of the boot. I have average sized calves (14") and these fit perfectly with just the right amount of room for skinny jeans etc. To make the calf wider you simply adjust the buckles and voila!
On top of all this, the Goretex lining makes this boot fully waterproof!
This is EXACTLY what I wanted and I know it'll keep me warm and dry for a trip to New York this winter, while looking beautiful and stylish!
The most comfortable, high quality and best looking flat boot I've ever had!!

It has taken me sometime to find a pair of boots that were comfortable for city walking - but are stylish and great for snow or rain sprinkles with the GoreTex! Also, I have smaller ankles and calves and typically wear a size 5 (5' tall, 100 pounds), and I found these boots to be perfectly snug with room for thicker winter socks. They were not too bulky or excessively gathered at the ankles.
I also ordered the ECCO Hobart Buckle Boot, but I found the Saunter was a more stylish and tailored fit. So, I kept the Saunter and returned the Hobart. This was my first ECCO purchase, and I'm thrilled! (Disclosure: At this time, I've only had the boot for a couple of weeks and unable to speak of the longevity of this boot.)

This is a great boot! I ordered 7 different boots from amazon and this was this winner! I have slender calves and needed an adjustable boot- I like that you can totally customize the size of the shaft...so perfect!! I am 5'10" and the boot comes to 3 inches below my knee...also perfect! The brown leather is very warm and rich in color (also very soft and of great quality!!!). The boot is true to size in length, but I found it to run just a little narrow. I have narrow-to-average width feet and usually don't have to worry about width. The boot was initially a little snug at the widest point of my foot, but after a full day of wear, the soft leather stretched a bit and now they are perfect!! And, one plus I didn't even realize when I ordered...they have a gore-tex lining. So, they are also waterproof...such a bonus!!! The sole is a flexible rubber, but doesn't look clunky at all.
Great boot!!! (Took me a long time to find it, but so worth it!)
